Hey guys, welcome back to Wealthy AF, to the ultimate guide to understand what it truly means to be Wealthy AF. And today I'm going to talk to you about the four morning routines for peak performance. So I'm going to give you four points on getting the maximum performance out of your day. So years ago I used to struggle heavy with this thing they call work-life balance. Maybe you can relate right. I used to go so heavy.

Speaker 0:

What you call an achiever and overachiever is what you call me, and that just simply means that when I go after something I just go with nonstop and oftentimes my family time would pay heavy consequence. The consequence of that would be that I would sacrifice family time and or focus time with my wife and the kids and I would hear things like you're not here, you're working too much, you only care about work. I would hear things like this and I didn't know. I felt stuck. I felt really stuck and I didn't know what to do. When I tried so many different things, I tried to do less, and all to do less would do for me, would just make me feel temporarily good. And tell me if you let me know in the comments if you can relate to this. You write a to do list and all it does it makes you feel temporarily good and then you go to bed at night and you're thinking about the other things that you have to do. When you get, I used to get up and I used to just add more things to the to do list until I discovered a book and a few tools throughout the years. The book I discovered was this book from Hal Elrod, called the Miracle Morning Amazing book. I use some of his routine from there, so my morning routine is partially the Miracle Morning, but you got to find what's good for you. So, anyways, I attended a Tony Robbins event in 2017 and I discovered this thing that Tony Robbins teaches called the RPM, which is results, purpose and massive action. This one tool alone changed my life.

When I don't do this, I feel like I don't have control of my life. When I started, doing this makes me feel like I have control of my time and what I'm focusing on and the things that I need to do to move me closer to my goals, and what happens is you get you move faster to your goals, and I know that I'm not even in the morning routine yet, but this is kind of part of it, because it's part of my weekly routine. I do this every Sunday and it really, really helps me get clear and it helps me start my week right. So point number one one of the things that I also started doing years ago was meditation, mindfulness. I started meditating and I know that for some, some may think, oh well, I can't do that. Well, the fastest way to incorporate a new habit in your life is to do it in small chunks. The worst thing you can do is say I'm going to lose, I want to lose 20 pounds and I'm going to go to the gym for an hour and a half every day, starting Monday. Well, that's the fastest way for you to get burnt out.

Speaker 0:

There's another great book called the compound effect great book on this. The way you hit a long-term goal is by doing little things every day. So you don't start meditating by meditating for 20 minutes. And look, everyone that meditates has a busy mind. We all have the busy mind. So you might be saying, hey, my can't stop thinking, I can't sit down quietly. It's not about that. You can't stop thinking. It's about the discipline that it gives you when you sit down. Start with two minutes, for two minutes, three minutes, then you increase it. So quieting your mind for three minutes, five minutes, 10 minutes a day, it's paramount for me. I found that meditation is for me. You find what your meditation is. It could just be sitting in a quiet room drinking your cup of coffee, alone time. You're alone time without no screen time, no phone, no, nothing. Find out what that mindfulness could be for you, right? But it's important that figure out what it is that you need to do to quiet your mind, even if it's just two minutes, to focus on your breath. Ditch the morning scrolls or ditch the phone and set positive intentions for the day. This short exercise will help you feel centered and ready to tackle anything in your day.

Speaker 0:

Number two move your body right. Unleash your creativity. Working out in the morning doesn't have to be torture session. We're just talking about benefits of getting your body moving from boosting energy levels to sparking creativity. That could be a stroll around the block. That could be waking up 30 minutes earlier than everyone else. That could be just doing 50 pushups, 50 sit-ups or just jumping jacks. That could be stretching. That could be a yoga flow, quick hit routine or a dance party in your PJs. Find what gets you energized and ready to crush your goals. Your physiology affects your psychology. Let me know what do you think. Share your favorite way to move in the morning.

Speaker 0:

Number three plan your day like a boss. I just shared a little bit about that, because adulting is optional, but crushing it Isn't. Feeling overwhelmed by your to-do list is the worst thing in the world, right? We're talking about planning your day, planning your week. What I mentioned about a moment ago is the RPM. The system I use and I gave you the secret sauce is your purpose, your results that you want for that week and then your actions that you need to take to hit that result that week. It will change your life right. Find a system. Find a planner app. Find a notebook. Find something. Find a way for you to execute and get what you want out of your life right. Set intention. Number four morning rituals. Customize your success formula. Not everyone thrives on the sunrise. Work out for meditation. Let's explore different morning rituals you can incorporate into your life. Journaling, write down your goals, a gratitude list for a positive mindset. Visualizing visualize yourself doing and achieving the things that you want out of life, like in your goals. Dedicate the first hour of the most important task, with zero distractions. Find what works for you, guys, experiment with different rituals and discover what helps you feel focused and ready to conquer your day. Now I'm going to share with you what my morning ritual looks like.

Speaker 0:

I wake up sometime between 5.30 and 6.00 am on most days, get up, get my coffee, I sit down, I read my business brief, a little newsletter I get every morning at 5.30 in the morning. I read that for five minutes, just got caught up. Then, immediately after that, I have a meditation app that I listen to. I've been using. I've been meditating since 2016. I think I got 24,000 minutes meditated.

Speaker 0:

Guys, I meditate no more than 10 minutes every day. That's it, just 10 minutes a day. That's what I meditate, guys. My mind is just like yours it's busy, some mornings it's good, some mornings it's not that good, some mornings it's quiet, some mornings it's thinking about all the things that got to get done. Nonetheless, I sit there. I discipline myself, I discipline my body to sit there, even if the mind is going, I focus on my breathing and I visualize 10 minutes.

Speaker 0:

Then, after that, I am sitting on my desk and I have a book called an Elite Journal that I write in every day. And it starts the Elite Journal starts with three things I'm grateful for. So I write I'm grateful for my health, I'm grateful for my family whatever is in my heart that day. Grateful for my home, my business, my team whatever is in my heart that day. Then I'm writing down top three goals of this year. So I'm writing them down every single day, my top three goals. Then the next batch is what are the top three things that I have to do today that's going to get me closer to those three goals, their priorities, the must do's to get me closer to those goals.

Speaker 0:

And then, after that, there's a question that I answered that's in this journal and that is what am I stuck on and how can I get unstuck from that today? That is such a powerful question. Imagine you asking yourself that every morning and meditating on that question and dealing and facing yourself every morning. Sometimes it's like a broken record. I can tell you that Sometimes it's like a broken record for me when I'm stuck on this and I got to get this project moment and I got to get this thing done.

Speaker 0:

Today I'm going to focus on this. I'm stuck here, I'm going to focus and what I'm going to do is I'm going to focus on this, I'm going to get the team to focus on this, I'm going to ask for help, I'm going to make this call Right, whatever that is, and then the rest is whatever else I have to do. Then I'll look at my RPM which I did on Sunday and I'll see my list and I match them and make sure that those top three things are in the RPM and I'm reading my goals. I'm looking at my vision board. Then, from there, I'm reading my purpose. I'm reading my values. I'm reading my goals Right for this year. I'm reading my power virtues.

Speaker 0:

Then, at that point, I'm in my bathroom, I'm pumping my push-ups out. I'm doing 100 push-ups every morning, then I'm doing 100 squats. This is while I'm brushing my teeth and I'm getting ready. I'm putting on my pants, my sneakers and I'm getting ready to go on a walk. And then, immediately after that, there's another app I listen to. It's giving me life lessons and different things. Or I'm listening to a book. I put on my earplugs and I go for a three mile walk every day While I'm listening by this time it's 7.30, 8 o'clock I start taking my calls with my team members and I'm setting my intentions for the day with them.

Speaker 0:

I'm checking up on my team. What's happening, what are we doing today? Here's what we're doing today. Here's what the goals are. So I'm exercising. At the same time, I am also already executing on my vision.

Speaker 0:

That's my morning routine. That's what works for me, guys. It allows me to start my day with intention. It makes me feel good. It's taken me years to get to that routine. You got to find one that's for you. What I will tell you is, my morning routine is about an hour, an hour and a half. You got to find what's good for you. Maybe your routine is just journaling. Maybe it's just hey, I'm going to get up every morning and I'm just going to start journaling for three minutes. What do I want today? What happened yesterday, and just get these things off your brain. And just three or four things you're grateful for, and two minutes of meditation and 50 push-ups and I'm out. Guys, thank you for listening. Hope this helped you. If you want more content like this, or you're someone that you know that needs to listen to this, I really appreciate you guys. Peace out.
